I blogged about 1Password for iPad over on AppStorm recently and it’s now available on the Mac App Store at an introductory price of £13.99 ($19.99 on the US Store).
If you haven’t got this already, get it now.

1Password is the second thing I install on any new Mac or iOS device (after Dropbox). If you’re not using it, go and check it out.
Incidentally, this is my first piece writing for AppStorm. If there are any iPad apps you’d like reviewed, drop me a tweet or leave a comment.

The new Tumblr app is so nice in every way that I can’t help but keep it on my homescreen. Matching iPad app, please!

The guys at Taptaptap just released version 2.2 of Camera+, the best iPhone camera app out there. The last update came after a conspicuous absence from the App Store after they violated one of Apple’s policies by mapping the volume buttons to the shutter release. A few months after being kicked out of the Store, they came back with some killer new features (the ability to set the focus point and the exposure point in different places) and some extra polish. Now, version 2.2 brings another new feature called Clarity. I’ve tried it with a few of the photos I had in my Camera+ lightbox and the results are nothing short of amazing. Seriously. You can see the results below for yourself.

There are lots more sample photos on the Camera+ Clarity page, along with a nice video starring Lisa Bettany. Check out the video after the break!

This little app sits in your menu bar until you need it. Simply press one of the shortcuts and the app adds a layer over your desktop, showing you (more or less) what a colourblind person would see. Bearing in mind that colourblindness affects around 10% of the population, this tool could help your designs and colour choices work better for a wider range of people.

Wow, I’ve been hoping for cross device position syncing for a while now. Looks like another solid update to one of my favourite iPhone and iPad apps. If you haven’t tried it, go and download the free version.

…if you are a Navy geek…

It’s called Royal Navy Engineer Officer Challenge (iTunes link) and it sees you play the part of an RN Engineer on a Type 45 Destroyer. Very cool. And it’s free.
